Green Hills Trail / Indian Creek Lake - 6
miles
(Hiking, Bicycling)
This out-and-back trail can be accessed from Road 510 (to the
picnic
shelter area), the Indian Creek Lake boat ramp, or from gravel parking
lots via routes U and A. With the exception of a short spur that
crosses the dam, this trail is entirely singletrack. There are also
several service road options for added mileage and less rugged
bicycling options. The erratic and hilly landscape of the southern
portion of the trail can be a challenge to hikers and bicyclists alike.
The newer, northern sections being built are geared for an easier hike
or bike ride. As this trail is not designated for equestrian use, trail
users on horseback will find good riding on the service roads and
trails of the North Poosey section, located on the other side of
Livingston county Route A.
North Poosey Service Roads
(Hiking, Bicycling, Equestrian)
The
North Poosey area of the map is in progress
This equestrian-friendly network of gravel roads and service
roads can be found in the north section of the Poosey Conservation
Area, located north of Livingston county Route A. The roads and trails
can be accessed from the west by using the entrance to Pikes' Lake from
Route W in Livingston county, or from the south using the gravel
parking lots via Route A. The Pikes' Lake parking lot has restroom
facilities and ample room for horse trailers.
